Ready to Get Scared? Check Out These Halloween Attractions Near Your Gaslight Commons Apartment

For those fans of ghost tours, horror movies and a good scare, October is the most coveted month of the year thanks to the many haunted houses and hay rides that pop up near South Orange. If you want to get scared without venturing too far from your Gaslight Commons apartment, you’re in luck!

From those that are kid-friendly to attractions that are sure to leave even the toughest with nightmares, our area has it all when it comes to everyone’s favorite October activity. Don’t miss out on these haunted attractions this month!

Scare Farm at Norz Hill Farm, located at 120 S Branch Rd, Hillsborough which is about 45 minutes from your Gaslight Commons apartment, has three great haunts: Creepy Hollow, a walk through haunted corn trail; Paranoia, also a walk through haunted corn trail and the Slay Ride haunted hay ride.

Little known to many visitors, Norz Hill Farm has a real haunted history behind it and the owners of the farm have seen various haunted happenings themselves. Now the real question is if you will see you – and regardless, you’re sure to be scared by their haunted attractions!

House of Horrors, located at 645 Cranbury Rd, East Brunswick which is about 40 minutes from your Gaslight Commons apartment, is offering a newly re-designed haunted house that has been dubbed ‘Face Your Nightmares.’

The attraction also offers a haunted hay ride on the property, which is set up each year by the Middlesex County 4-H. For $8, you can tour both the house and do the hay ride and all of the profits benefit 4-H community service projects. The attraction is held every Friday and Saturday in October from 7-10:30 p.m.
