Now that spring is finally here, there’s no better way to get in the warm-weather spirit by spending the afternoon at a local farmers’ market, where you can get everything from fresh fruits and vegetables, to locally-grown meats, to scrumptious breads and much more.
If you’re looking to stock your fridge and also support your local farmers, then don’t miss on these farmers’ markets that are right around the corner from your Gaslight Commons apartment!
The South Orange Farmers’ Market is open on Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Sloan Street lot across from the NJ Transit station which is about half a mile from your Gaslight Commons apartment.
This year, tons of new vendors have been added to the docket, so make sure you stop by this Wednesday to see what new farmers there are to meet! Also look out for vendors such as Alstede Farms, Dining Wild, Gourmet Nuts and Dried Fruits and more.
The West Orange Farmers’ Market is open on Fridays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Quigley Municipal Parking Lot which is at corner of Main Street and Harrison Ave., which is about five miles from your Gaslight Commons apartment.
This farmers’ market offers new specials every week, so stop by to see what you can get for a steal while also keeping your pantry local! Here, you can find fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and meats as well as artisan products from the area.
